Verification
Verification is demonstration against a specification – the right form of evidence for everything that moves and changes: software, cloud, AI, and models. An AI model is always verified – not qualified; validation happens at the level of the overall system in the process – because the model is in motion (training, drift, retraining). Verification is also the ongoing mechanism that demonstrates and maintains a validated state. It is distinct from qualification (stable, stationary objects) and validation (the overall system in its process context).
